Blessing

Praise God! To Him be the glory! That is all this can be but a blessing from God. The nurse called Mom on Friday. It was good news. The last time she got results back on her scan and it was not good, the call came on Monday. Good news wants to travel fast. That is for sure. The tumor has shrunk so that is it almost non-existent. The cancer in her abdomen is almost all gone. My Mother was told back in August that chemo would give her months. None of her doctors really thought she would survive this. Here she is 6 months later, showing everyone that PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED and GOD DOES STILL PERFORM MIRACLES EVEN IN OUR DAY. God is not just a God who created heaven and earth and parted the Red Sea and brought the flood and receded the flood waters and gave Sarah a child in her old age and sent his son to be born of a virgin and then raised him from the dead and then stopped working miracles in the lives of us humans. He is still that God to even us; as bad as this world is today, he still wants to bless us through his supernatural power. I know alot of people- most people- would think the doctor was just wrong, they don't know for sure about anything when it comes to cancer and Mom is just one of the lucky few. Yes, they are right in the fact that the doctors don't know all there is to know. They have to use their knowledge and make decisions on the right chemo mix, etc. That is what we have doctors for. But God is still in control of it all. He is the ultimate physician. By no means does this mean we can stop praying. We must continue. She still has the disease. Please join me in rejoicing for the most precious blessing he could give a woman who is still in the process of grieving for her mother. It is almost like God is giving this to Mom as a way of saying "well done, good and faithful servant"- you honored your mother, you took care of her, you stood by her faithfully to the end, even while you were dealing with your own terminal disease. I pray this is just the beginning to an end of this dreadful trial. That is my prayer. But, I will praise Him no matter my journey because I know He is right there walking beside me holding my hand and my family's hand. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.....
